We became custodians of our lovely old Inn just a year ago!
We are crafting our food and beverage offering, trying new things and continuing with traditional ones, bringing our passion for hospitality to it all.

We are an independent family owned free house offering great hospitality, with real food and a real welcome.
Our team, led by Sarah and Nick, share a strong ethos from food production to service and work closely with the farmer, fisherman and artisan to deliver a great guest experience.
Enjoy the atmosphere of our flagstone old bar, our casual food offering, from breakfast to afternoon tea, perhaps on our terrace or in the garden. Or, indulge in the full food experience in one of our intimate dining rooms.

We are on the A30 , which is itself an historic route from London to Cornwall dating back to around 1675.
The Ship Inn is excellently placed for a stop off and stop over to visit the many delights the area has to offer or just unwind in the English countryside.
